Another dumb, slasher flick where nothing makes sense and every person trips while they're running. I mean seriously, it looks absurd when the victim is running, the antagonist is walking, and the antagonist still catches the victim. It is just mind-boggling.

This movie had very few positives to it. Unlike most cheaply made horror movies, some of the camera work (not during chase or action scenes) was actually pretty decent. There were some good shots in the movie and the visuals looked alright. The mystery in this movie was interesting enough, but it turned out to be another cliché slasher film.

The acting in this movie wasn't terrible, nor was it above average. No one in this movie stood out to me and the characters were lifeless. This was basically just an hour and a half of random, meaningless murders that I didn't care about.

The editing in this movie was extremely spotty and the "intense chase sequences" were so dumb and boring that it made me check out of the film. Our protagonist isn't interesting and we really had no connection to her. This movie tried to be smart but it failed in many ways.

The ending of this movie shoved confusion down your throat and it all but screamed "this movie makes no sense and we know it". The twist made no sense and I didn't even get who it was behind the mask because that character was so irrelevant and unattached that it really didn't fit well. This is not a shot at actor Anthony Anderson, but he did not work as the sly detective in this movie. I didn't buy it from the moment he walked in the door.

In all, I can't say I wasn't interested in the mystery, but nothing in this movie accompanied that nor did anything stand out. This movie is another boring, slasher remake that we can forget about in a couple hours. I don't like hating on a movie so much but being a big fan of horror movies, my bar of expectations is pretty high, but still reasonable.
