Review of The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976) by Brandon W — 13 Nov 2014
I actually would never knew that this movie existed until I saw a trailer for the remake. The trailer looks good and want to see that, but to watch it, I need to watch the original. The Town That Dreaded Sundown is a good slasher film that is actually different from other slasher films that I have seen.
The acting is good, the mystery is interesting, and there's some funny moments. It does make it a bit scarier that it's based on a true story even though the scares weren't that effective.
It is a bit slow though, and some of the jokes are a bit miss, but it is better than some of the slasher films out there, and like the good guys, it does leave you wondering who the villain is.
