Review of The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976) by Chris S — 15 Sep 2009
A half decent thriller that apparently is based on a real life un-caught serial killer. You can see certain things in the film that have influenced other films especially slasher movies. Though the killings in this are pretty basic and ungorey the basic premise is he's walking in a real life slasher flick.
The voice over can get a bit annoying and seems pointless as it doesnt really add anything in the story that they couldnt have done with just some dialog in the scirpt. the only other bad thing is the totally out of place comedy relief from some policeman?? one minute its a serious thriller the next the keystone cops walk in??
