Review of The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976) by Michael A — 27 May 2013
Flawed but sometimes fascinating crime movie that manages to have some chills. The look of the killer is the scariest thing of the picture. It is actually well shot in Panavision. Which it is a must see in Widescreen.
There was rumours of a remake in the works in 3-D, nonetheless. If there is a problem of the movie that it feels gimmicky at times with the narration, with the unseen killer lurking around in public and a bit too much comic relief played by the film's director in a supporting role.
Memorable movie to horror fans and also the look of the killer was used in "Friday the 13th Part 2" as a tribute.
