Review of The Towering Inferno (1974) by Joseph V — 04 Nov 2007
Irwin Allen's magnum opus of over-the-top disaster. Tense footage of fiery rooms and hallways are supplemented by a wonderful ensemble of "name" actors. McQueen embodies confidence in his character, and Irwin Allen's production embodies excess in its climax.
