It is kinda hard to review these movies a few decades later, or not. At the time this was something like the "Titanic of the 70`s". I remember my mother telling me about the long lines at cinemas in 1974/75 here in Brasil. I watched this movie on a cold saturday night on TV in a big event somewhere in the early 80`s and it was massive. I was impressed byt the fires, the plot, the tower and all the thrills and by.

Richard Chamberlain fall almost in the end. Not talking about the elevator scene. I believe some would say these movies are camp and all that. To me they still great fun and I love the original from the Disaster movies decade. Great fun!
