I have a bad habit when watching movies. I feel like I have to finish it once I start even if I do not think it is worth the time. Sure, there were few that I just could not stomach and had to stop watching but for most part I finish them off.

I keep on hoping that something will happen that is worth while my time. The Tourist is one of those movies. Just like most of them, I had to chuckle to myself at predictable plot and cliches. Russian mafia that is not even russian, interpol and highly skilled super spies.

Yawn... Johnny Depp? Big surprise that he would engage in such a soulless project. Clearly, he worked only for a paycheck. I thought he was an artist with higher standards. Angelina? Whew! The beauty is in the eyes of beholder and if you like her that is your preference.

To me she is overpaid, overrated, overexposed, self-indulgent actress. Anorexic figure and way too much make up attempted to doll her up in great outfits cannot hide her artificial image. I think that this movie could not be saved no matter what, but a different actress in the main role could possibly salvage it.

.. somewhat. Two stars for great shots of Venice. The rest - blah!
