Review of The Tortured (2010) by Ji-Bhoy S — 18 Oct 2010

It's pretty slow moving at the start, with alot of character building and back story. This is very well told and can be quite moving in places. It get's a little silly when they break the guy out though and the rest of the film is almost all one long torture sequence, broken up by the odd guilt trip by both parents.

It's very good at what it does and if you loved the Saw films (especially the early ones) and the Hostel movies, then you'll love this film. It's got all the twist's that we've come to expect, although I'll be honest and say that I didn't see this one, but I suppose I should have done really! A good "one off" type of film and one that I hope doesn't get a sequel as it doesn't need it.
