A film, whose main purpose is to shock with its relentless depiction of gore and violence, follows a young married couple in their quest for revenge on the man who kidnapped, tortured and murdered their young son.

Although he is caught and sentenced, the fact that he didn't get life angers the husband and wife and in their annoyance they set about capturing him themselves when he's being transported to prison.

Successful in their quest, they then take him to an abandoned warehouse to inflict extreme pain on him as punishment for his crimes. With the police searching for the missing criminal and not suspecting any foul play on behalf of the parents, this beating goes on and on until the dramatic conclusion.

To its credit, there was a good twist ending, but it needed it given its constant stream of unnecessary violence. Undoubtedly the blood thirsty scenes were realistic given its from the producers of Saw, but unlike that film, this didn't a storyline to compliment it.

Clearly set with a low budget and starring former Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe as it's lead, there were signs of desperation in its creation throughout. Once you've seen one bit of brutality, you've kind of seen it all so a film based entirely on this can become a little tedious.
