Review of The Tortured (2010) by Sarah C — 09 May 2011
There are a few things I find interesting about this movie. Horrible camera angles and Jesse Metcalf's dry "Keanu Reeves" type acting will more than likely make even the biggest horror fan run away from this B-movie but it shines through with Erika Christensen's (for the most part) brilliant performance and of course Bill Moseley's great (as always) performance.
Part of me is still wondering where this movie tried to take me during it's cinematic convulsion of sorts and then the other part of me just wants to tell you all to run the other way. Personally I believe it's worth watching, and I think if you get into this movie and put yourself into their shoes they really pull you into it.
The gruesome torture scenes that are very well done at times can even make you sad for what you think is a sadistic maniac. Unfortinatley we may give this movie a little to much credit. It is what it is and though it isn't much it's worth a watch.
