A fully realized 1993 period piece (no innuendo intended)-including wonderbras and those stupid sliding seatbelts-providing a female version of the previous decade's boy's-gotta-have-it flicks, with just as much stupidity but a more subtle nerdy sensibility.
At first it seems like an amalgam of 15 other movies (from Porkys to The Way Way Back) but once she adds masturbation to the list it moves into friendly feminist territory with some subtle and weird surprises.
Authentic girl friendships and sister swearing fights.
