Review of The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) by Francisco R — 11 Dec 2011
This movie took time travel, something I enjoy reading about and seeing movies about, and put a spin on it. Having not read the book, I didn't have a lot of thoughts on the story and I didn't have any problems with things left out (my friend that went with me said there was quite a bit).
This could be a problem for someone who is a big fan of the book. Seeing some of the things that Henry had to go through and, because of this, what Clare had to go through make you care about the characters a lot more.
There are some funny moments and some really sad moments in this movie. One part I thought was really sad was when Henry was talking to his father about not being able to save his mother and watching her die so many times.
I thought the acting was very good in this movie. McAdams was so beautiful and conveyed her character's emotions very well.
