Review of The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) by Sarah W — 08 Nov 2011
Yet another film from my favourite genre & it doesn't disappoint. It'll certainly pull at the old heart strings even the most hardened bloke with an ounce of romance in him will feel a little saddened. It has all the paradox's & clever tricks time travel throws at you & it can get quite confusing at times but in a good way. You don't really know how the movie is going to pan out until later in the movie which a lot of films lately can't boast about.
Henry has a condition where he time travels involuntary & has no control where he ends up or how long he will be in that time frame. He meets his wife when she is a child & she spends her whole life waiting for him until they meet for real without him traveling back to meet her. She then has to endure his time traveling throughout their marriage trying to keep alive their marriage & her quest to have a child. Sadly their unborn child of many pregnancies also has the condition & she can never reach full term without the unborn child time traveling. Will their dreams of a child come true & will they find a cure to stop Henry from time traveling?
