Review of The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) by Abbie R — 14 Feb 2012
I loved the book, and really enjoyed the film... until the end. It was utterly disappointing and ruined the entire film. I actually let out a cry of disbelief when the credits appeared as if part of the film had skipped.
They missed the most important part of the book out of the film, the end!! The film would leave anyone who hadn't read the book totally baffled ad thinking Clare never saw him again. The book finishes when Henry visits her at the age of 82.
Surely the ending would have been far better if we could have seen this? Very disappointing film, but then again how can you capture such a magical book?
