Review of The Tigger Movie (2000) by Eric D — 26 Feb 2014
The Tigger Movie - animated film - co-written and directed by Jun Falkenstein. Jim Cummings provided (first-time) his voice for 'Tigger' (previously Paul Winchell who died five years after its release, head been providing the voice for 'Tigger'). Sherman Brothers' original songs were used for this film. This is first film to entirely center around 'Tigger' and no Winnie-the-Pooh. Made over budget of $30 million the film opened in North-America on its first weekend #4 earning $9.4 million -.
Tigger embarks on a journey to find more Tiggers like himself as well as his own dwelling - after some of his fellas get irritated with his amateurishly childish excitements in which he has caused them great havoc.
Walt Disney Animation Japan worked on its animation. I have seen couple of previous versions of "Winnie the Pooh" and I also have read the story multiple times since childhood. I am big fan of 'Tigger' in the series, mainly due to his lose behavior, frankness and attitude that is enough to generate an audience, loving him. Exquisite story, something which fulfills the fetish for Tigger-fans like myself. Quality comedy and ravishing animation.
