Review of The Three Musketeers (2011) by Elian D — 22 Apr 2012
Yes, it is fun... but for all the wrong reasons: you keep laughing at the someone that green-lit it, you keep laughing at that someone that wrote it, you keep laughing at that someone that directed it and you laugh at yourself for actually wasting your money to watch it... Yes, it is so-bad-it'sgood...
They could've done a straight up adaptation of the book. that would've been nice.
They could've just taken the characters and done something fresh, and new, and great; that would've ate least been creative.
But no, they chose to be lazy. They decided they just were going to "update" the original story. And by update, I mean they just loaded it with unnecessary crap, and not just a bit, they stuffed this sucker with so much crap that the audience isn't laughing at what's happening on the movie (you don't even care), you're just laughing at the idiots that thought of this... until you start realizing that they are making money out of it and you're the one paying... then the comedy stops and the drama starts... They were smart, I was the dumb one.
