A vibrant post-post-modern swashbuckler, paying homage to the best of the Pirates, Star Wars, Indiana Jones franchises - and if you stop to think about it, this movie is better than the latest outings of all of those franchises! Three Musketeers is a non-stop thrill ride that never asks you to take it seriously - and vibrantly throws in everything from the steampunk of Assassin's Creed and the pulsating tone of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes.
It's great to see brilliance in films like Drive, The Ides of March, and Contagion - but it's also great to just have some solid, fresh fun at the movie theater too.
