Review of The Three Musketeers (2011) by Eric R — 17 May 2012

Pretty much exactly what one would expect from a film in which Paul W.S. Anderson "adapts' Dumas' classic novel. The film is loaded with special effects, lots of brash, over the top characters and its just a silly endeavor all around.

I actually gave it a higher rating than I was anticipating due to the fact that at times the film is surprisingly self-aware, which is kinda fun. This is the type of film that makes me ask the essential question: Does Paul W.

S. Anderson go home and masturbate to computer graphics every night? I mean, he really just needs to calm down with the shit in his movies. The action is kinda fun in that over-the-top variety but its all just pretty stupid, albeit I guess it has some entertainment value if you are drunk or high on drugs.
