Review of The Three Musketeers (2011) by James K — 03 Aug 2012
It was a refreshingly interesting retelling of a classic story involving the three musketeers. It would have been sci-fi for the period movie it made out to be, with divers infiltrating Venice and flying "air-ship" hovering above Versailles.
We are introduced to a rock star Buckingham visiting from England pitting his wit against a sword-fighting, chess-playing archbishop that holds France's future, and a double-agent that provides the femme fetale. The young D'Artagnan was convincingly annoying and the weary original three musketeers were amusing also.
I found it silly and entertaining. The adventure must go on (as long as it is not on and on and on...)!!
