Review of The Three Faces of Eve (1957) by Hannah M — 19 Jan 2004
This movie touches base on a subject in which during the time was considered to be something out of fiction; multiple personalities. Though I myself am not sure exactly what the person experiences during the change in personalities, it is clear not much was known about it and that the people making the film wanted others to gain knowledge and find pity for the main character, played by Joanne Woodward.
The movie was made in the 50's, Joanne Woodward plays the title role with multiple personalities and her personal struggle within herself. Woodward won and Ocsar for her performance, which I must say saved this movie by far, seeing as I am not quite sure about the factuality of the mental disease as portrayed here.
Joanne Woodward plays her role(s) very convincingly, in which makes the movie semi-worthwhile to see. Prepare to be confused...very confused. .
