Review of The Three Caballeros (1944) by Keaton B — 01 Oct 2011
Having seen this on a VHS I borrowed from a mutual friend of my parents, I quickly grew enamored with this one-hour-and-ten geography lesson from Disney. I hope families should, too. It turned me on to songs such as the Bing Crosby hit "You Belong to My Heart", a song so beautifully sung by Dora Luz, and the quirkiness and comic relief that colorful characters such as Jose Carioca, representing his hometown of Brazil for the second time since "Saludos Amigos", and Panchito, a fine species of poultry who originated from Mexico City (as evident by his swift explanation of the city's history).
This movie is a must-see for kids and adults alike.
