Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Lady D — 19 Dec 2007
A hard worn genre, a hard worn theme - It aint easy to make a western interesting these days, and it's a bitch to try and make the western theme of "what it is to be a man" work - it can so easily become "what it is to be a ham and cheese western".
The creative team of this contemporary neo western manage to do both. More of these Comrac McCarthy inspired westerns please.
