Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Ahmet Ö — 08 Jan 2008
A gripping story, darkly comic on occasion, but always attentive and fair to its characters. It's theme of the value of suffering as a means to redemption is right out of Dostoevsky, and is straightforwardly delivered.
The acting, and Jones's direction hits home hard.
