Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Eric G — 17 Feb 2008
I really enjoyed this movie. Tommy Lee Jones made a solid debut as a director and it's brilliantly shot taking full advantage of the landscape. This is a little slow, but I didn't mind. It also reminded me of No Country a bit except this is better.
This is a story of redemption that is also quite entertaining. It has a dark humor to it, but it's one of the better films from 2006.
