Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Bob M — 02 Mar 2008
Perfect fare for fans of Leone, Eastwood and Peckinpah; Tommy Lee Jones directs a classic modern-day western. Great lines, a revenge/redemption plot and a solid story with something to say. A most interesting screenplay by Guillermo Arriaga, (Babel, 21 Grams), plus jaw-dropping cinematography by Chris Menges, (Good Thief, North Country).
