Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Ben T — 07 Feb 2009
I have never seen any movie like this, and in this case it is a great thing! Not everyone would enjoy this movie, but I enjoyed it. The best description I can come up with is a modern day western parable - that's right, parable.
This movie comes closer to a parable by teaching moral principle to a young, heartless border patrol officer. It's interesting to see the change of his character to the very end of the film, and, as always, Tommy Lee Jones leads a solid performance!
