Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Joe S — 25 Feb 2009
I doubt this little-known gem will show up on many people's top ten. I imagine it's a difficult film for most to enjoy. Inaccessible would be putting it mildly. For me it is an exquisite piece of story-telling: masterfully-told, darkly comic and deeply tragic.
This is a comedy of errors steeped in an overbearing sense of isolation. Not to mention well shot and well acted.
