Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Paul K — 10 Feb 2011
A "dark sombre tale of homour, friendship and revenge, superbly shot" - according to the Guardian. I wanted to watch this so much that it's sat in a drawer for three years before I got around to it.
However I found it gripping in a 'Western' kind of a way. Interesting to have it set in the 21st century - it could have taken place 150 years previously with few appreciable changes. Not really my cup of firewater.
