Review of The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) by Barry J — 09 May 2012
Do the successful, independent, self-reliant people have a chance for a happy-ever-after, or does life save the happy ends for the ever-dependent cinderellas? After you see the incredibly lucky art collector (superbly played by Pierce Brosnan) who manages to steal a Monet from a carefully guarded museum, and then returns it back with a prior notice to the museum's management and the city's police, you'll be certain to wish they had this chance.
Who else, but this handsome devil, deserves his fair share of luck and happiness? It is predominantly this romantic question that makes up the storyline of the cleverly devised but lightly played detective.
