Review of The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) by Trevor S — 09 Jun 2007
The earrings, the hair, the nails, the clothes. What, the plot? What? Oh yeah, Thomas Crown is so bored that he decides to stage a heist at a Boston bank and make off with the cash. This film has the longest kiss in cinematic history; this was also Steve McQueen's favorite film to star in.
I wonder why. There is also a famous chess scene...those hands! the nails! the horror! Oh yeah, back to what happens in it...Thomas Crown is such a badass he ends up smiling and laughing with glee at the end, while Dunaway's character remains with a note in her hand and tears in her eyes.
Thomas Crown is so cool, all one can do is admire and emulate him.
