Literally my favorite film of all so far. Unlike Matrix which I felt excessive in uses of special effects and likewise, this film really managed to kept its story and other aspects from being literally overshadowed by special effects.
Intriguingly, the very novel for which it was loosely based on has the story set in New Orleans instead of Los Angeles.
