Review of The Thirteenth Floor (1999) by Jason F — 13 Dec 2007
This movie starts out interesting, makes you pay attention, and draws you in more as it progresses. It throws in unexpected twists that keep you guessing. The premise of this movie reminded me very much of "eXistenZ", which came out the same year.
People have compared this to "The Matrix", but this is by no means an action flic. Rather, it engages your mind and sense of reality. They are two very different movies. The only disappointing part was the amount of foul language.
If you can ignore that, then this is worth viewing.
