Contains the great line "in Italy under the Borgias they had warfare terror and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had 500 years of peace, brotherly love and democracy and what did they produce?....the cuckoo clock.".
Saw this a number of years at the Nuart theater in Santa Monica. Film Noir at its best. Empty streets, long dark shadows, suspicious and mysterious characters.
If you find this in a theater don't miss it.
