I will skip over the acting and other things because the movie is a low budget YouTube movie. My problem arises from the plot. To start off with the movie never makes me believe that randomly Texas, the only state in the USA to use the Thinning, is allowed to by everyone else. In some movies, like the hunger games absurd things can make sense and are accepted because they are explained and have a reason to exist. The reason these exist maybe wrong, but it's a valid reason none the less. This movies reason for the Thinning being the best option to reduce population is completely unjustified. It's like getting hit in the face with a brick repeatedly and being told this is for your own good. I could go on and on about this movie, but I'll just give you my biggest problem.

And on about the flaws in this movieate in the USA to use the Thinning, is allowed to by everyone else. I could go on and on about this movie, but I'll just give you my biggest problem and save you the trouble. The worst part of this movie is its plot. The movies plot it the villain. Killing children to reduce population is the villain. Instead of sticking to that though the movie tries to make corruption and characters villains as well. It takes away from the main villain of this movie which is the killing of children. At the end of the movie everyone is happy because the corruption has been exposed, but the idea that they are killing children is accepted as long as they kill the right children. This isn't even mentioning the plot randomly trying to create a love interest where it wasn't necessary. Why I gave it a one star though was because at least it surprised me at the end. Just before the credits roll we learn that the kids aren't killed they are just enslaved. Force to work with I assume no compensation. So yay it's only slavery that we have to worry about. My final statement on this movie is that it's a waste of time. The plot tries to make to many villains that make the movie feel disproportionate. A random love interest is thrown in for no reason with no context for the viewer which leaves you with a lack of connection to the characters. This movie needed better writers that focused on one thing instead of trying to hit way to many ideas.
