Not as good as I expected it to be.
Being such a huge fan of John Carpenters 1982 version (which is probably my fave movie of all time) it just seems soooo tame in comparison.
If I hadn't seen Carpenters I probably would have loved it.
The Universal DVD 2 disc edition is a good buy though as it has the original with a John Carpenter commentary on it aswell as the colourized version of the film.
Disc two holds the digitally re-mastered version.
