Yet another excellent blank and white film, set in the artic where an alien space craft is uncovered by personel attached to a remote outpost in the artic. An alien being is recovered from the craft and brought back to the research centre at the outpost, where, on thawing out he comes back to life and subsequently causes havoc.
The being is almost impossible to kill. The film was inspired by the Roswell incident of 1944. If you like snow this is the film for you. The Dialogue is not the best I've ever come across but the lighting and effects are excellent.
The 1980's Remake "The Thing" staring Kurt Russell is also worth a look.
