Review of The Thing (2011) by Timothy K — 26 May 2012
Strong performances, interesting characters and a frightening looking creature. This prequel is very entertaining, but lacks the feeling of seclusion and the overpowering sound of a blistering snow storm, which was a character all of its own in the original.
The big set pieces and the overall clean and fluid look to the film takes away from what should have been a petrifying film.
