Review of The Thing (2011) by Alfred O — 05 Jul 2012
Here is something rare, a good remake of a good remake. This is the 3rd film version of The Thing and it follows the same story as the precious 2 but is more comparable to the 1982 John Carpenter film.
The main point I was interested in was whether or not the alien would be scary or just cheesy special effects. I'm happy to say the monster is generally scary and the movie does have a few variations from its predecessors.
A decent sci-fi horror film.
