Review of The Thing (2011) by John A — 15 Sep 2015
Despite being a prequel to the 1982 classic, this 2011 version has quite a few similarities to it's predecessor. The plot is obviously and essentially the same as both the original and the 1982 version.
The Script Is Decent With Some Good Performances And The Score From Marco Beltrami Is On Top Form Providing An Excelent Sense Of Claustrophobic Atmosphere To Keep It's Audience Hooked. With A Scene Which Plays During The Emd Credits Which Takes Us Right To The Start Of The 1982 Version, While Playing A Piece Of The Ennio Morricone Score From The Previous Version.
The End Result Is An Entertaining Claustrophobic Horror/Thriller, That's Very Well Crafted Which Sadly Shares To Many Similarities With It's 1982 Counterpart To Stand Out.
