Review of The Thing (1982) by Georges D — 22 Jan 2013
My favourite movie by Carpenter, but also one of my favourite movies in that genre (only one step behind Alien) : the music is great, the acting is close to perfect, the filming is flawless, the special effects are still very convincing more than 30 years after the film release.
.. and the end leaves the audience on a hopeless and tragic note that is missing from most movies of that kind.
