Review of The Thing (1982) by Ian R — 26 Jan 2014
The best and most unique element of John Carpenter's The Thing sets it apart from all other horror flicks: realistic character development. The human actors in the Thing behave rationally although under extraordinary circumstances.
Furthermore, the rise of the helicopter pilot played by Kurt Russel to "warrior leader" status is both organic and engrossing.
