Review of The Thing (1982) by Edzel R — 28 Oct 2017
John Carpenter's The Thing is one of the most important horror films of all time. The remarkable make up effects by Rob Bottin set the standard on how we see creature feature films today where mostly everyone uses CGI.
But the real score of the film is the paranoia from within the characters. You don't know whose who and whose not, it's the change of behavior and character that makes you feel suspicious towards them because humans in nature are fallible and flawed and the Thing isn't.
