Review of The Thing (1982) by Milosz M — 03 Aug 2018
There is no move thats better in creating this heavy, paranoic atmospher. Seting action of this Sci-fi horror in isolated arctic base was a brilliant idea. For the whole movie we can feel hopelessnes of the characters as they know thre is nowhere to run and that noone is coming to help them.
Combine it with an enemy that can mimic anyone and you get sytuation bringing paranoia and lack of trust to another level. It maight have some years but practical effect used to create "the thing" havent aged at all.
In my opinion it is stil the best horror movie of all time.
