Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Nate L — 17 Mar 2012
A profoundly thoughtful and unique reflection on the tragedy of war. It's not for everyone and it's not my favorite war film, but the poetic internal dialogue was moving. I also loved how Malick contrasted the lush beauty of nature with the scars that man is willing to inflict on himself and his world.
