Quite well done as a comedy-whodunit. The "chemistry" of the two stars is just about perfect.
In the "oh yeah, this was made a half century ago" notes: how odd to see so much gratuitous drinking and smoking on screen, and so little sex and foul language. Goes to show that a good film needs not much of any of these things...
