Review of The Thin Man (1934) by Nambari T — 15 Apr 2009
I like to wish that if I got married, I would have the kind of heady, soaked existence full of witty quips and comebacks that Mr. & Mrs. Charles display here. Their magic is infectious. So much so, that even as the great plot unravels it is almost an afterthought.
This movie probably caused a marriage boom in 1934 and the prices of little terriers to soar.
The thin man has it all: Murder, mystery, lots of wit, a splash of sweet and lots of gin. I still never get over it.
