Review of The Thin Man (1934) by Leighton T — 07 Nov 2010
I want to like this more than I do, and I do like it more than I used to, but there's still too much plot here, especially the opening scenes that delay introducing the main duo in favor of giving vague exposition to a bunch of lesser characters.
It's still fun, but I feel like the banter and drunken antics everyone remembers this movie for are largely limited to the one big party scene, while the crime story takes up more time and drags things down.
