Wonderful stylized fantasy. Beautiful set and costume design. Bold technicolor hues and epic scenery. The special effects may seem creaky to modern audiences, but they are so wonderfully stylized in a manner consistent with the rest of the production design, one can't help but be charmed by them.
It reminds me of the joy and wonder of watching adventure fantasies as a child, the very heart of why I watch films in the first place. Pure entertainment!
