Review of The Thief of Bagdad (1940) by Cecilie B — 11 Apr 2009
This is a good and exciting story, and it's easy to see where Disney took its characters from for Aladdin -- but even if it needs to be seen from a historical point of view, some of the dialogue sounds very silly and the film in total looks a bit outdated.
It's a good film and kids will unquestionably love it, but some adults may find it a bit daft in places. It's undoubtedly a historical important movie and I recommend it for family fun in the middle of the day.
