Review of The Thief Lord (2006) by Stephanie C — 13 Aug 2006
I read the book in 5th or 6th grade and I really liked it. it was a good story. It is about two brothers, Bo (age 6) and Prosper (age 15). They were recently orphaned, and they go to Venice, Italy. They meet the masked Theif Lord, along with other orphans, and they have many exciting adventures. The main adventure is to find a treasure (a wooden wing) for 2 old siblings, and their reward is money. This leads them through magical twists and turns and lots of fun and danger.
It was a cute movie, but, like most movies based off books, it wasn't as good as the book. it was a kids movie, and it was very easy to follow. I was looking for a kids movie for my sister & her friends, & when I saw it @ blockbuster, I was like omg they made it into a movie, but since I liked the book, I rented it. I was suprised how good it actually was. its a good one to watch w/ a younger brother or sister or your whole family. I also recommend the book :).
